Munson, Leah (Marriage - 17 Dec. 1960)

In a candle light service at 7 o’clock at Christ Lutheran church, Leah Munson and Gerald Kalepp exchanged marriage vows, Saturday evening, Dec. 17. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler peformed the ceremony before the altar, decorated with vases of poinsettia and white chrysanthemums. Herbert Juneau was organist and sang "The Lord’s Prayer."

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ritter of Unity and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kalepp of Abbotsford, Wis.

Attending the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kalepp, Jr., and Donald Kalepp, a cousin of the groom, ushered.

For her wedding, the bride chose a street length dress of cherry satin. It was designed with three-quarter length sleeves and the back of the skirt was detailed with satin roses at the waist line. She wore a headpiece of white sequins with a small veil and carried a bouquet of American beauty roses.

Her matron of honor was identically attired in aqua with matching headpiece of sequins. She wore a shoulder corsage of American beauty roses.

Mrs. Ritter, mother of the bride, wore a tan brocaded dress, and Mrs. Kalepp had a blue brocaded dress. Both mothers had corsages of pink garnette roses and white feathered carnations.

Mrs. Adolph Kalepp and Mrs. M. C. Bunnell, grandmothers of the groom, had corsages of white carnations.

Special Christmas touches were in all of the floral appointments.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the village hall where Miss Elsie Bremer and Mrs. Lily Wilson were in charge of refreshments.

Guests attended from Manawa, Tomahawk, Unity, Marshfield, Dorchester, Owen, Stevens Point, Colby, Abbotsford and Belvidere, Ill.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Kalepp left on a wedding trip to Milwaukee and on their return will make their home at Colby, Wis. The bride is employed at the Colby Clinic and the groom is employed by his father in Abbotsford, Wis.
