Arneson, Donna (Marriage - 4 November 1950)

William Opelt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Opelt of the Neillsville community, has taken as his bride Donna Arneson of Black River Falls, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Arneson. The marriage took place Saturday, at the Lutheran parsonage in Black River Falls.

The wedding was followed by a reception at the home of the bride’s parents. The young couple then went on a wedding trip to Minneapolis. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Harley Miller, newlyweds, whom they attended at their recent marriage.

The couple returned Monday, going directly to their new home on a farm in the Town of Lynn. This is an eighty, which William Opelt bought the latter part of the summer.

Like his father Carl, William is keen on getting a start as a farmer and family man. He had no appetite for extended high school education, but after the freshman year went right to work with his father, and was owner of his eighty at 18. He already has the nucleus of a herd, has filled silo and plans to make his herd larger. His bride is 16. He will be 19 in December.
