Reisner, Dorothy E. (Nowack) (4 SEP 1923 - 1 OCT 2013)

Dorothy E. Reisner, 90, of Marathon, formerly of Clark County, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013, under the care of Interim Hospice at Marathon Assisted Living.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Marathon. Rev. Jon Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Granton. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Marathon.

Dorothy E. Reisner, 90, of Marathon, formerly of Clark County, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 under the care of Interim Hospice at Marathon Assisted Living.

She was born September 4, 1923 in Shortville in Clark County, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie (Dorst) Nowack. She married her first husband, Clarence Reisner and then her second husband, Edward Reisner. Both have preceded her in death.

Dorothy was a graduate of the Granton High School.

She was an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Marathon and was a member of the ladies aid. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed making quilts, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Survivors include, two sons, Roger (Jill) Reisner, Marathon and Rich (Linda) Reisner, Wausau; one sister, Darlene (Gilbert) Hurtis, Marathon; two step-children, Edward (Debbie) Reisner, Madison and Yvonne (Bob) Graham, Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren, Bill (Suprea) Reisner, Brad (Abby) Dobeck, Nicole (Wes) Myszka, Jon Reisner, Karie (Jeremy) Koppa, Mike (Amanda) Reisner, Wayne (Andrea) Graham, Jason (Diep) Graham, Michael Graham, Megan (John) Kolpes and Jessica Reisner; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Besides her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in death by one sister, Muriel Nowack; an infant daughter, Doris Ann Reisner; and two granddaughters, Jennifer and Michelle Reisner.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Marathon. Rev. Jon Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Granton. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rev. Jon Hadler, the staffs at Wausau Manor Nursing Home, Marathon Assisted Living and Interim Hospice for the wonderful care, support and prayers for Dorothy and her family.
