Nelson, Irene (14 Dec. 1898 - 17 Feb. 1961)

Mrs. Albert Nelson of Abbotsford passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 1961, at the age of 62 years. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church at Abbotsford, Rev. L. F. Faivre officiating, and internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Irene Thompson Nelson was born in Neenah, the daughter of John B. and Mary Thompson. She grew up in Gladstone, Marshfield and Abbotsford and attended local schools. She married Albert H. Nelson, son of Henry and Anna Nelson, early pioneers of the state of Wisconsin. Mrs. Nelson was active in the Presbyterian church, the Royal Neighbors, the Women’s Club and other organizations.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband; her son, Clarence Nelson; her daughter, Dorothy Nelson Thieme; a sister, Adaline Thompson Anderson; and eight grand children.
