John L. Kelley, 68, Medford, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Celebration of life services were held Sunday, October 6, at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford where there were also military rites performed by the Stetsonville American Legion military honors team. Ryan Jones officiated.

Hemer Funeral Home, Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH:
January 18, 1945, Bartlesville, OK.

EDUCATION:
Oklahoma elementary schools, graduate of East Aurora High School, Aurora, IL and attended UW-Stevens Point.

MARRIAGE:
November 27, 1965, at Aurora, IL to MariLee Minor.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE:
After his education he served in the US Army from 1965-1968, 1st Air Calvary, veteran of the Vietnam War. After the military he moved to Medford where he worked in the woods, owned & operated Kel Frame for a period of time, and for 24 years worked at Weather Shield Mfg. until retirement in April of 2009. He enjoyed traveling, leather work, wood working, gardening, hunting, fishing, spending time at Lake Chetek & with family.
