Heiser, Michael (20 JUN 1881 - 27 JAN 1951)
Michael Heiser, who resided on a farm near Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), for thirty-six years, passed away at the hospital at Stanley on Saturday evening, of a stroke. He had suffered a stroke several months ago at his home in Stanley.
Mr. Heiser was born in Cooperstown, Wis. on June 20, 1881. He was united in marriage to Theresa Wagner at Thorp in 1911 and they settled on a farm south of here where they resided until retirement in 1947, when they moved to Stanley.
He is survived by his wife and four children, Clifford and Mathias Heiser and Ione, Mrs. Pat Jorden, of Stanley, and Roma of Hastings, Neb. Four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
He was a member of the congregation of St. Mary’s Church and the Holy Name Society of Stanley. Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday morning, Jan. 31st at 9:00 o’clock, Father Geisler officiating. Interment took place in St. Bernard’s Cemetery at Thorp. Pallbearers were: George Rank, Francis Volk, Otto Seefeldt, Theodore Schultze, Edwin Halmstead and Alfred Baker.
