Behringer, Debora K. (14 JUL 1954 - 20 FEB 2009)

Debora K. Behringer, 54, Stratford, died on Friday, Feb. 20, 1009, at the Palliative Care Unit at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford. The Rev. Sue Eidahl officiated. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield. Pallbearers were Heath Zakrzewicz, Travis Kind, Darrick Jordan, Andy Smith, Lucas Behringer and John Behringer.

Debora K. Zakrzewicz was born on July 14, 1954, in Stanley, to Robert and Marie (nee Johnson) Zakrzewicz. She attended Loyal High School and the Mid-State Technical College, Spencer. She worked as a certified nursing assistant in Marshfield. She married Jack Schmidt on April 26, 1974, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, and they later divorced. She moved to Stratford and then worked at various places. She married Michael Behringer on June 2, 1990, in Stratford. She had many interests, especially spending time with her family and friends, playing horseshoes and gardening.

She will be missed by her husband, Mike, Stratford; three children, Melissa (fiancé Scott Bahr) Schmidt, Neillsville, Philip (Teri) Schmidt, Auburndale, and Kip (fiancée Heather Boettcher) Schmidt, Osseo; four grandchildren, Shyla and Jada Salisbury, Danielle Bahr and Jordan Draeger. Her father, Roland Truchinski, Stratford; three sisters, Lynn (Gerald) Bryson, Mesquite, Texas, Kim Truchinski, Edgar, and Tammy (Scott) Zoellner, Glendale, Ariz.; along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and a brother, Randy Zakrzwicz.
