In a ceremony performed Saturday morning, July 7, 1951 in St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Miss Geraldine Milewski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Milewski, became the bride of Harry Bonk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alois Bonk, Withee. The Rev. Father Piekarski was the officiating clergyman.
The bride chose a gown of satin featuring a bodice of Chantilly lace. Her fingertip veil cascaded from her headpiece and she carried a bouquet of orchids and stephanotis.
Mrs. George Litwin, Chicago, a sister of the groom, as matron of honor, wore a gown of lime green marquisette over taffeta designed with a ruffle at the shoulder and the waistline.
Other bridal attendants were Sylvia Bonk, Withee, another sister of the groom, and Harriet Pietrzak, Withee, and Evelyn Bjornstad, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
All were attired in dresses designed like the matron of honor’s in blue, yellow and orchid, respectively.
Eileen Gomolinski of Chicago, niece of the groom, as flower girl, was attired in a gown designed like the bride’s dress.
Ronald Milewski, Withee, brother of the bride, as best man, and Bernard Franczkiewicz and Raymond Vent, Withee, were groomsmen.
The coupel greeted guests at the P.N.A. Hall in Thorp, where the dinner and supper were served.
Mr. and Mrs. Bonk are both graduates of the Withee High School. The groom is stationed in the U.S. Army at Camp McCoy.
