Bender, Minnie (28 Sep 1886 – 16 Oct 1966)

Mrs. Henry Bender, 80, of 2418 St. St., New Holstein, a native of Sheboygan County, died Sunday night at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, after a week's illness.

The former Minnie Gosse, she was born in the Town of Mosel, Sept. 28, 1886, a daughter of the late Mrs. and Mrs. Herman Gosse. She attended the district schools. On Nov. 27, 1909, she was married to Henry Bender in the Town of Mosel. The couple lived in New Holstein the past 20 years and prior to that farmed in the New Holstein area.

Mrs. Bender was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and the Woman's Guild of the church.

Survivors include her husband; three son, Edmund and Rudolph, both of Cleveland and Alfred of New Holstein; one daughter, Mrs. Harry (Laurine) Ninmer of New Holstein; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Louis of Colby and Edward of Sheboygan; and one sister, Mrs. Adolf Sommer of Cleveland. Two brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at St. John UCC, the Rev. Charles Koch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the New Holstein Cemetery.
