Ellingson, Mildred H. (May 4, 1918 - March 10, 2009)

Mildred H. Ellingson, age 90, of Stetsonville, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at the Memorial Nursing Home in Medford.

Mildred was born May 4, 1918, in Dorchester, Wis. She attended and graduated from the St. Louis Parochial School in Dorchester, Wis. On July 24, 1941, she married Clifford Ellingson.

Together, they farmed and raised two children in the town of Deer Creek. Mildred was active in the community, she was a long time member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, the Friendly Homemakers Club and was active in the St. Peter Ladies Aid. In her free time she enjoyed collecting music boxes.

Mildred is lovingly survived by her two children, Arleen Ellingson of Wausau, and Ken Ellingson of Stetsonville. She will be missed by her friends, family, and church members. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Ellingson; brothers, sisters, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation took place at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester on Friday, March 13, from 9-11 a.m. A funeral service was held following visitation at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jerome Freimuth presided. Burial took place at the Milan Public Cemetery in the town of Johnson on Friday, March 13, at 2 p.m.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Dorchester assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
