She passed away at the hospital on Sunday, June 26, 1949, at noon and was 79 years and 19 days of age at the time of her death.

Mourning her passing are her husband Frank Maki of Owen and a son Swante of Kennan, as well as other relatives in Finland and in this country, and a large number of friends.

The deceased was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church of Owen where final rites were conducted on Tuesday, June 28 at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Viljo A. Puotinen officiating and the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) in charge of the funeral. Burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers at the service were: Solomon Laokso, Henry Puro, Don Rauha, Elmer Heikkinen, John Rosenquist and Coby Reihenes.
