Justman, Phillip W. (14 June 1879 - 8 Mar. 1962)

Phillip W. Justman of Unity, Wisconsin died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Thursday morning, Mar. 8, of old age complications at the age of 82 years. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity, Rev. Robert Langseth officiating, and internment was made in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Justman was born June 14, 1879 in Theresa and was educated in West Bend and Bixon College in Illinois. He was married to the former Emma Reil in Colby in 1904. Before coming to Unity, Mr. Justman was a bank director at Gilman and Stanley.

He made his home in Milwaukee for 30 years where he worked as a street car conductor and also was a member of the merchant police. After his wife died in 1957, he came to Unity where he made his home with a nephew, Merlin Justman. He spent the past few days at the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen.

Surviving are two brothers, Albert and Roy Justman of Unity, and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Matteson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mathilda, and a brother, Louis.
