Gilman, Virginia Agnes (Marriage - 28 June 1941)

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Baehr are at home to their friends on the farm of his parents, Dorchester, Rt. 1.

Their marriage took place Saturday afternoon, June 28, at 3 o’clock in the Lutheran parsonage at Dorchester, Wis. The Rev. J. Brandt read the service.

The bride, Miss Virginia Agnes Gilman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wilke, Abbotsford, chose for her wedding a formal gown of baby blue chiffon. A head dress of blue flowers, a shoulder corsage of pink roses and white accessories completed her ensemble.

Miss La Verna Fenske, Abbotsford, was the bride’s only attendant. She wore a baby blue taffeta gown, floor length, with head dress and corsage similar to the bride’s.

Herbert Baehr, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Baehr, Town of Mayville, was attended by Rudy Thieme, Curtiss.

Following the ceremony a reception was held and a wedding supper was served to immediate relatives at the home of the groom’s sister, Mrs. Herbert Wilhelmi. A large wedding cake and garden flowers decorated the bridal table.

A wedding dance was held in the evening at Hinke’s hall.
