Luchterhand, Alvina (13 January 1877 - 1951)

Mrs. Frank Luchterhand, nee Alvina Wehling, was born in Germany on Jan. 13, 1877, coming to the United States with her parents when she was 5 years old. She was married to Frank Luchterhand at Loyal, Wis., on April 16, 1896. They made their home on a farm near Spokeville until 1920, when they moved to their present home in Loyal.

This union was blessed with four children, viz. William, Marshfield; Alvin, on the home farm; Mrs. Reno (Elsie) Hendrich, Town of Beaver; Mrs. Edward (Lizzie) Greeler, Town of York. There are fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three brothers, Charles, Albert and Frank Wehling, who also survive the deceased.

One brother died in infancy and her brother Robert died in January, 1948.

Mrs. Luchterhand was a confirmed member of Trinity Lutheran Church, as well as a charter member of the Trinity Aid.
