Smith, Frank, Mr./Mrs. (25th - 20 AUG 1949)

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith were pleasantly surprised Saturday evening, Aug. 20th, 1949, when a group of 73 relatives and friends gathered at their home to celebrate their Silver Wedding Anniversary.

Songs were sung by a group directed and accompanied by Mrs. Martin Keskimaki, that were popular 25 years ago, after which a mock wedding took place.

Jean Smith, Seattle, Wash., niece of the honored couple, wrote up a wedding sermon which was acted out by Emil A. Hansen as the bride, Harold Williams as the groom, Mrs. Alberta Smith, as brother of the bride, gave her away in marriage. Mrs. Harold Williams was best man, Janet Gilbertson, bridesmaid; Carol Keskimaki was a flower girl, Virginia Smith, a ring bearers, and Gene Karaba, Minister.

The couple received a purse of silver besides several lovely gifts from the group.

Lunch was served later in the evening.
