Tessmer, Herman J. (8 Apr. 1877 - 8 Apr. 1962)

Herman J. Tessmer died Sunday morning at the Bethel Convalescent Home in Arpin at the age of 85 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, Wis., Rev. Ralph Koelemay officiating, and internment was made in the Colby Memorial cemetery (Colby, Wisconsin). Pall bearers for their great uncle were Darrell Sossaman of Abbotsford, Claude Sossaman of New Berlin, Douglas Sossaman of Milwaukee, Ralph Sossaman of Spencer, Donald Smith of Marshfield and Junior Tessmer of Colby, Wis.

Mr. Tessmer was born in the town of Colby on April 8, 1877. He was employed by the bridge and building department of the Soo Line Railroad his entire life and retired in 1936.

His only survivor is a sister, Mrs. Otto Detens of Phillips.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and fours sisters.

Tessmer April 11 were Claude and Douglas Sossaman, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hegg, Mrs. Helene DeBuhr, Mrs. Alma Kolander of Milwaukee, Mrs. Edward Smith and Donald Smith of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sossaman and Mrs. Dora Tessmer of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Sossaman of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hegg of Phillips, Edwin Tessmer of Tomahawk, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Passehl, Sr., of Stratford.
