Lavine, Adolph (1886 - 27 July 1951)

Adolph Lavine, 65, depot agent at Owen since 1919, died Friday evening, July 27, at Eau Clarie after an extended illness.

Funeral services were held at the Hogle Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls and burial at the Riverside Cemetery at Owen, on Tuesday, July 31.

Mr. Lavine was born in Sweden in 1886 and was brought to this country by his parents when he was four years old. They originally made their home at Ogema, Wis.

In 1909 he started to work for the Soo Line Railroad. In 1912 he was married to Miss Laura Stadler at Lublin, Wis. She survives him as do two sons, Gerald of Madison and Melvin of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Kuehnast of Chippewa Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Wrosek and Mrs. John Roeland of Merrill and eight grandchildren.

He was a member of the Blue Lodge F. and A. M. of Owen and of the Order of Railroad Telegraphers.
