Geary, Clarence, Mr./Mrs. (25th - 8 OCT 1949)

Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) - Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Geary, Curtiss, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Saturday, Oct. 8, 1949. A chicken supper was served at 7:30 p.m. in the Evangelical Lutheran Parish Hall, Curtiss. Mrs. Geary wore a black dress and a corsage of red roses given to her by her four children. The Gearys received a purse of money and many other gifts. Mrs. Geary’s mother and two sisters presented here with a three-tiered wedding cake.

Later in the evening a dance was held at the Cherokee dance hall. During the evening Norman Erickson and Bill Geary sang several selections.

Those attending the celebration were: Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Nenzel, Bloomer; Dorothy and Billy Geary, Curtiss; Mrs. Grace Nicks, Charles Lehmann, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stephens and family, Norman Fredericks, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nicks and family, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Telin and family, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Morrison, Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Lehmann, and Mrs. Albert Bernet, West Liberty, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Geary and family, Mrs. John Burtard, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Home Wardwell and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Veglahn, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Veglahn, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Voves, Mr. LeRoy Veglahn, Kenneth Geary and girlfriend, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Geary, La Crosse.
