Colby, Lowell M. (15 May 1920 - 26 May 1962)

Lowell M. Colby of Unity, age 42, suffered a heart attack Saturday evening and died en route to the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Unity Methodist church, Rev. Ralph Koelemay officiating, and internment was made in the town of Brighton cemetery.

Mr. Colby was born on May 15, 1920, in Abbotsford, where he received his education. The family moved to Colorado where they lived for three years, returning to Abbotsford in 1923. In 1929, he moved to Unity and lived there since. He served in the armed forces for four years.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lucy Colby of Unity; six sisters, Mrs. Gordon Lynn and Eleanor Colby of Unity; Mrs. John Peters of Neenah, Mrs. Archie Kempke of Milwaukee, Mrs. Merlin Dein of Loyal and Mrs. Glendon Labb of Milwaukee; three brothers, Donald and Lloyd of Unity and Dennis of Loyal.

His father died on March 10, 1937.
