Smith, Robert W. (12 AUG 1876 - 31 MAR 1944)

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) for Robert W. Smith, whose death occurred Friday at his farm home six miles southeast of Owen, in the town of Green Grove. He had been lingering for more than three years.

He was born August 12, 1876, at Valton, Wis., and came to Owen in 1902, and was employed as a carpenter for the John S. Owen Lumber Co., for a number of years. On August 18, 1914, he was united in marriage to Miss Christine Hansen of Owen, and shortly thereafter they settled on their farm which has since been their home.

He is survived by his wife and one sister, Mrs. Mary Sourow, of Ladysmith. A brother, Daniel, preceded him in death about a year ago.

Rev. Morris T. Anderson, pastor of the Missionary Alliance church of Marshfield had charge of the services and burial took place in Riverside cemetery.
