Ackerman, Bernice (08 APR 1944)

Miss Bernice Ackerman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ackerman, became the bride of Victor Gosse, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gosse, also of Curtiss, on Saturday afternoon, April 8th. They were married in Owen by the Justice of Peace.

The bride was attired in a beige tweed suit with white accessories. Her corsage was of tea roses and sweet peas. Miss DeLila Gosse, sister of the groom, was her attendant. She wore a suit of liberty blue. Her corsage was the same as the brides.

Both the groom and his attendant, Calvin Schulz, wore navy blue suits and white carnation boutonnieres.

A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents for immediate relatives and friends. A two tier wedding cake decorated the center of the table.

A wedding dance was held the same evening at the Wagon Wheel.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Gosse are well known around this community. Mr. Gosse has been employed for some time by Mr. Mildbrand, and at this time is awaiting his call to the Navy.

Guests from away were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ostlund, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Ostlund and Miss Muriel Alenius, all of Superior.
