Douglas, John F. (16 MAY 1861 - 15 APR 1944)

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning from Sacred Heart Catholic church, Withee, for John Franklin Douglas, 83, who died at his home in Withee, Saturday evening, following several months of illness.

He was born May 16, 1861, and came to Withee 44 years ago and settled on a farm three and one half miles north of the village. He resided there until about two years ago, when he moved into the village.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Francis, of Hibbing, Minn., and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Zivney, of Beaver Dam, Wis.

Rev. Fr. Brockman had charge of the services and interment took place in Riverside cemetery.
