Services for Miss M. Anne Tormey of Milwaukee, who died on Nov. 29, 1949, were held at St. Joseph’s Church at Withee on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11:00 a.m.

Miss Tormey was born at Iron Ridge, Wis., in 1871 and came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1888. She attended the Thorp High School and taught school in Clark and Chippewa counties for many years.

In 1929 she moved to Milwaukee, where she made her home with a niece. She retired after 37 years of teaching in the public school.

Miss Tormey is survived by two brothers, Dennis of Milwaukee and Peter of Portland, Oregon, and by one sister, Mrs. Charles Alton of Withee, Wis.
