Hiebl, Margaret (Marriage - 2 June 1962)

Miss Margaret Hiebl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hiebl of Dorchester, and Arvin Apfelbeck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Apfelbeck of Colby, Wisconsin were united in marriage in St. Thomas’ Catholic church in Milan Saturday, June 2. Rev. Myron Meinen was celebrant at the solemn high mass with Rev. Charles Hiebl assisting as deacon and Rev. Ambrose Blenker as subdeacon. Mrs. Otto Neitzel presided at the organ as the parish choir sang.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length bridal gown of Chantilly lace and angelmist taffeta fashioned with a lace bodice with a scalloped Sabrina neckline trimmed with sequins and pearls. The angelmist taffeta skirt with lace panels had bows in the back. Her bouffant veil was held in place by a crown of crystals and drop pearls and her bouquet was was a cascade of red roses and white carnations.

Miss Janet Hiebl of Dorchester was maid of honor and Miss Pearl Apfelbeck of Colby and Miss Kathleen Bartnik of Dorchester were bridesmaids. They wore street-length dresses of aqua silk organza with fitted bodices, bateau necklines with draped cowl collars and full gathered skirts with small velvet bows at the waistline. All wore matching headpieces with face veils and carried colonial bouquets of pink and white carnations.

Joseph Hiebl was best man at the wedding and Carlton Pecher of Abbotsford and Ronald Ludwig of Dorchester were groomsmen. James Hiebl and James Apfelbeck were ushers.

Brunch was served to 65 guests and was followed by a reception and supper for several hundred guests in the Trianon Ballroom, where later, dancing was enjoyed.

The new matron has been employed in Marshfield at Malsin’s Style Shop and her husband is engaged in farming. They will reside at Colby, Route 1.

Relatives and friends attended the wedding from Wausau, Spencer, Marshfield, Edgar, Athens, Stratford, Stetsonville, Dorchester, Colby and Allenton.
