Mrs. Otto Braun returned Friday morning from a three-week trip to California. While there, she had the pleasure and honor of attending the graduation exercises of the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco and see her son, Elmer Jewett, a graduate of the 1949 class of Colby High School, graduate as a doctor of dental surgery. Elmer will begin practice in September in Santa Paula, Calif. He served five years in the U.S. Navy prior to going to college. Mrs. Braun spent a week in San Francisco visiting her son and family after which she visited her daughter and family in Ojai and two brothers and other relatives. On June 17th, a picnic was held in Steckel Park, near Santa Paula, in her honor. All the relatives gathered for an enjoyable outing. She also had the pleasure of seeing her two grand sons.
