Jarchow, Rose (5 Mar. 1897 - 2 Feb. 1987)

GREENWOOD - Former Greenwood resident, Rose Jarchow, 89, Lake Geneve, died Feb. 2, at Lakeland Hospital, Lake Geneva.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood, with the Rev. Rubin Schmidtz officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at Dallmann Funeral Home, Rib Lake, and at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time.

She was born March 5, 1897 at Greenwood to Joseph and Julia Brahmer, and attended schools there.

She was married to Herman Jarchow April 3, 1918, at Rib Lake. He died July 3, 1982.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Verna Schinker, Lake Geneva, and Mrs. Pearl Swahr, Mosinee; a son, Melvin, Owen; a brother, Anthony, Medford; 18 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Oliver, a daughter, Erma Knop, two grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, a sister and six brothers.

*** Note: There is no St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Greenwood, nor any cemetery associated with the Lutheran church there. It must have been the services were going to be held at Lake Geneva. This was likely a misprint in the paper.
