Thomsen, Jane (Marriage - 28 July 1951)

Vows were exchanged at the Little Brown Church at the marriage of Jane Thomsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thomsen, to Robert Eggiman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Eggiman. The marriage took place on Saturday, July 28, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale at Nashua, Ia.

Mrs. Roger Thomsen, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of Honor. The best man was the bride’s brother, Roger Thomsen. Following organ music a wedding prayer was sung at the close of the ceremony.

The bride was attired in a gown of white embroidered silk from Japan. Her finger tip veil fell from an embroidered silk head dress. She carried a colonial bridal bouquet.

The matron of honor wore a floor length gown of pink taffeta. The groom wore his Marine dress uniform.

Following the wedding a reception for relatives and friends was held at the Club Iowa, at Charles City. The couple left for Parris Island, S. C. where the groom will attend recruiter’s school. After his graduation there he will be further assigned to recruiter’s duty.
