Meschefske, Dorothy (Marriage - 8 Nov. 1941)

Miss Dorothy Meschefske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Meschefske, Town of Little Black, became the bride of Arvin Sell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Sell, of Neenah, Saturday afternoon, Nov. 8, at two o’clock. The ceremony was performed at Zion Lutheran church in Stetsonville with the Rev. G. O. Krause reading the marriage vows.

The bride wore a floor length white street length gown of velvet taffeta of a princess style with a row of buttons down the back and leg o’mutton sleeves. Her fingertip veil was attached to a pearl crown. A string of pearls and a watch, gifts of the groom, and a colonial bouquet of mixed flowers tied with long white ribbons, completed the bride’s ensemble.

Mrs. Raymond Fredrickson, Medford, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Francis Dennee, Neenah, sister of the groom, attended the bride. Miss Fredrickson wore a deep rose taffeta gown and Mrs. Dennee wore one of aqua blue taffeta. Gold lockets and slippers to match their gowns, wrist corsages and flowers in their hair were worn by both attendants.

Raymond Fredrickson and Francis Dennee attended the groom.

Mrs. Joe Kuzenski played the wedding march and Mrs. G. O. Krause sang "Oh Perfect Love."

Dinner was served at five o’clock to 70 guests at the home of the bride’s parents. The home was decorated with white, deep rose and aqua streamers. The same colors were used to trim the wedding cake. A dance was given by the couple at the Pine Tree pavilion in Chelsea.

The bride, who was employed in Neenah the past two years, is a graduate of the Abbotsford High School. The groom is a graduate of the Neenah High School.

Following a short wedding trip to Minnesota, Mr. and Mrs. Sell will make their home in Neenah where the groom is a carpenter.

Among the out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Herman Sell, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Dennee, Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Sell, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Sell, Mr. and Mrs. August Sell and Mrs. Ida Stacher of Neenah; Mrs. Christena Oleson, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Geitz and daughter, Joyce, of West Allis.
