Kopp, Sharon Ann (Marriage - 15 1971)

Miss Sharon Ann Kopp became the bride of Ronald Wayne Ratsch on Saturday, May 15, at 1:30 p.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Rev. Theodore Krueger performed the ceremony. The organist was Paul Muehl.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Kopp of Rt. 4 Marshfield. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ratsch of Rt. 1 Greenwood.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length, hoop-skirt gown of organza and Chantilly lace styled with a jeweled Sabrina neckline, long, lady bishop sleeves, and a chapel train. An organza and petal headpiece held a four-tiered veil of silk illusion. She carried a cascade arrangement of yellow sweetheart roses and white daisies accented with ivy sprigs.

Mrs. Chet Franke of Marshfield was the matron-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Marlon Ratsch and Mrs. Dale Riedel, both of Granton. The attendants wore floor-length, empire-styled gowns with A-line skirts and bishop sleeves fashioned of nylon over taffeta and enhance by Venetian daisy trim. The matron-of-honor’s gown was mint green; the bridesmaids’ identically-styled gowns were yellow. Each wore a matching headpiece and carried a bouquet of yellow and white daises with green satin streamers.

Chet Franke of Marshfield was bestman. Groomsmen were Marlon Ratsch of Granton and Robert Kopp of Marshfield. Gerald Ratsch of Granton and Roger Lau of Marshfield served as ushers.

An afternoon reception and dinner followed by an evening dance were held at the Eagles’ Hall in Marshfield.

The bride, a 1968 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School, is also a graduate of Metropolitan College of Business and Technology in Milwaukee. Both she and the groom are employed in Marshfield.

After a wedding trip to Niagara Falls the newlyweds will make their home on Rt. 5 Marshfield.

The bride was honored at two miscellaneous bridal showers. The one was given at the Chet Franke home with hostesses Mrs. Franke and Mrs. Harold Grambow, both of Marshfield. The other, was held at the Willis Leffel residence, with hostesses Miss Sharon Leffel of Marshfield and Miss Joyce Klumb of Stevens Point.

A rehearsal party Friday evening, May 14, was given by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Grambow at their R. 4 Marshfield home.
