Longwood

M. W. Carlon has moved his crew up to Curtiss to finish sawing Haskell Withee's logs at that place.

G. B. Andrews, wife and daughter Cella visited at Hemlock Sunday.

The German Medical and Concert Co. will show here this week, the best free show that ever struck town.

Walter Smith and wife of Withee, visited with his parents Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mead are moving onto their farm.

Markus Emerson of the North Fork was seen on our streets Tuesday.

Misses Edna and Libbie Bowen, Dora McCarty and Ethel Carleton and Messrs. Hixon Mead, Walter Carlon, Edd. Bowen, A. C. Barr and Alva Barr wheeled up to the North Fork farm Sunday afternoon. This is the Haskell Withee farm and is managed by Markus Emerson. The trip was a hard one, but it was amply repaid by the hospitality enjoyed after reaching there. To visit this farm is better that a circus. The parts of the clown might be acted by the visitors. The farm is no small menagerie. Among the unusual attractions are a bald eagle, with wings reaching eight feet; pheasants of the golden, silver and Chinese varieties; white fan tailed doves, wild ducks; chickens from the smallest to the largest; and two deer.

The Woman's Society of the Lutheran church at Longwood will serve coffee and cake for 10 cents at the town hall Saturday evening, May 19.
