Weix, Barbara Mary (Marriage - 4 Aug. 1962)

Miss Barbara Mary Weix, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert A. Weix of Colby, Route 2, and Paul Joseph Kipp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Kipp of Marshfield, were united in marriage at a solemn high mass Saturday, Aug. 4, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wis. Rev. John Kipp, brother of the groom, was celebrant of the mass and was assisted by Rev. John Pinion of Colby as deacon and Rev. Ambrose Blenker of Colby as sub deacon. Mr. Weix gave his daughter in marriage.

The bride, carrying a floral arrangement, entered the church wearing a ballerina-length dress of nylon over taffeta designed with Sabrina neckline trimmed with pearls and sequins. Matching pearls and sequins were on a crown to which was attached her shoulder-length veil.

Miss Lucilla Kipp, Marshfield, the maid of honor, was attired in a pink street-length frock. Her flowers were a cascade bouquet of pink carnations and white pompoms.

Juliann Weix was the flower girl. The groom was attended by David Weix of Colby as best man. Ushers were Albert Weix, Jr., and James Koenig.

The brunch and wedding reception were held at the home of the bride’s parents and the supper was served in the school hall.

Mrs. Kipp, a 1959 graduate of Colby High School, has been employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield. Mr. Kipp, who was graduated the same year from Columbus High School, attended DeVry Technical Electronics School in Chicago, and now is employed by the General Telephone Co. of Wausau.
