Krueger, Hugo (4 Mar. 1891 - 11 Jan. 1963)

Hugo Krueger of Curtiss, Route 1, died Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield at the age of 71 years. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, Wis., Rev. Jerome V. Wohlfell officiating, and internment was made in the Green Grove cemetery. Pall bearers were Raymond Kobs, Darrell, Ben, Lawrence, Walter and Melvin Krueger.

Mr. Krueger was born in the town of Green Grove on March 4, 1891, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Krueger. He received his education in Green Grove Schools and served in the U.S. Army during World War I. Mr. Krueger, who never married, spent his life in the Green Grove area as a farmer. He retired in 1945, and, for about the past year, he resided with a niece, Mrs. Emil Untiedt of Curtiss, Route 4.

Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Henry Krueger of Abbotsford and Mrs. Albert Krueger of Waukesha, and several nieces and nephews. Four sisters and six brothers preceded him in death.
