William "Bill" C. Pilgrim, 78, Edgar, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Edgar. Rev. LaDonna Ekern will officiate. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.

William "Bill" C. Pilgrim, 78, Edgar, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.

He was born September 8, 1935 in Edgar, son of the late Gustave and Mary (Flegle) Pilgrim. On October 1, 1955, he married Adeline Draeger at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Edgar. She survives.

Bill was a dairy farmer in the Edgar area and also worked as a security guard and in the maintenance department at Wausau Insurance Company, until his retirement. In his younger years, Bill was a member of the St. Stephen Choir and has always been an active member of the church.

Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed playing dartball, fishing, traveling with his wife, Adeline and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include, his wife of 58 years, Adeline Pilgrim, Edgar; three children, Dale Pilgrim and Debbie Pilgrim, both of Edgar, and Dean (Margarita) Pilgrim, Fairfax, VA; four grandchildren, Miranda Scheffler, Amanda (Brian) Fraizer, Tamara Pilgrim and Sara Pilgrim; two great-grandsons, Kaden and Conner Fraizer; two brothers, Elroy (Elaine) Pilgrim, Edgar and Glenn (Louise) Pilgrim, Pillager, MN; one sister, Mabel Punke, Edgar; two sisters-in-law, Esther Pilgrim, Edgar and Mildred (Wilmer) Tuscher, Ocoee, FL; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, John; and five other siblings, Selma Hamann, Viola Bauman, Alvin Pilgrim, Mildred Knutson and Elaine Beattie.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Edgar. Rev. LaDonna Ekern will officiate. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Kennedy Park, Minsitry Saint Clare's Hospital and Ministry Home Care Hospice for the excellent care and concern for Bill and his family.
