Lupient, Frank (7 May 1868 - 3 Feb. 1942)

Funeral services for Frank Lupient, 73, who died Tuesday, will be held Friday afternoon at one thirty at the Lupient home and at two o’clock at the Lutheran Church, Curtiss. Interment will be made in the Norwegian Lutheran cemetery there.

The pallbearers will be Emmet Hawks and Felix Schiszek, Curtiss; Will Thayer, Unity, Oluf Olson, Neillsville, Will Stephan, Withee and Oscar Kademan, Colby, Wis.

Those who will assist with the flowers will be Mrs. Emmett Hawks, Mrs. Felix Schiszek, Mrs. Arthur Thompson, Mrs. Frank Matthias, Miss Dorothy Thompson, Curtiss and Mrs. Maurice Sorenson, Dorchester, Wis.

Mr. Lupient was born in Necedah, May 7, 1868 and at the age of four came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel Lupient to the farm seven miles northwest of Abbotsford which they homesteaded.

On Sept. 26, 1900 he was married to Miss Clara Benter. About 32 years ago they came to the farm, and have lived here since, during which time Mr. Lupient has served for 16 years in school district offices. He was also a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.

Mr. Lupient has been in ill health the past three years and the past two weeks he was being cared for at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Adolph Hansen, at Junction City where he died Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

He is survived by his widow and four children, all of whom have come for the funeral: Mrs. Fred (Lucille) Moecker, Pardeeville; Miss Marion Lupient , who teaches at Marinette; Mrs. Adolph (Lorraine) Hanson, Junction City; and Mrs. James (Alta) Sullivan, Wisconsin Rapids; a brother, Fred, at Marshfield and six grandchildren.

His parents, two sisters, Letitia and Anolis, and two brothers, Mose and George, preceded him in death.
