Fiebig, Mr./Mrs. H. H. (50th Anniv. - 18 May 1942)

Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Fiebig celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last Sunday, at Sheboygan, at the home of their son, Edgar. All of their children and grandchildren with the exception of Kay and Mary Fiebig, of La Crosse, were present.

A family dinner held Sunday noon was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Fiebig and son, Billy, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Fiebig, and daughter, ?, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Armand Stephen, children, Robert, Elizabeth, Margery and Richard, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Fiebig, La Crosse and Gilbert, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

A profusion of spring flowers was found throughout the home where open house was held in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Fiebig, who formerly lived in that vicinity, were greeted by a number of relatives and friends, among whom was the best man of the wedding in 1892.

Mr. and Mrs. Fiebig were married in the evening of May 18, 1892 in St. Paul’s Episcopal church in Plymouth. They made their home on his farm, three miles west of Sheboygan Falls, where they lived until the fall of 1900 when they moved to Marathon county. On this farm, located two miles east and a fourth mile south, they lived until 21 years ago when they moved to their home in the village just south of St. Bernard’s rectory.

Seven children were born to them, five of whom are living: Alfred, Edgar, Mrs. Armand Stephen (Clara), Roger and Gilbert. There are eight grand children.
