Mayr, Isabelle (Marriage - 11 June 1942)

The marriage of Miss Isabelle Mayr and Arthur Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Haas of Unity, took place at a nuptial high mass at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thursday, June 11 at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. C. D. Brady performed the ceremony.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a princess style gown of white satin with long ?, a yoke of lace and a long train. Her finger tip veil edged in lace was fastened to a tiara of seed pearls. Her only jewelry was a cross, worn by her mother on her wedding day. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and carnations.

Attending as maid of honor was Angeline Mayr, of Chicago, sister of the bride. She wore a frock of yellow embroidered chiffon with matching shoulder length veil fastened to a head band.

The two bridesmaids, Miss Marie Mayr, sister of the bride, and Miss Rose Haas, sister of the groom, both of Chicago, were gowned alike in ? of blue embroidered chiffon, matching shoulder length veils. The bride’s attendants carried bouquets of mixed flowers.

Attending the groom as best man was Sylvester Mayr, brother of the bride. Elmer Haas, brother of the groom was usher.

About 100 guests attended the reception and wedding dinner held at the home of the bride’s parents. The home was decorated in twisted streamers of blue and white and yellow. Lighted candles and ? were used in the table decorations.

In the evening a wedding dance was held at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion.

Mr. and Mrs. Haas are at home to friends on a farm near Stetsonville.

K. Mayr, Beaver ?; Greg Wright and Chester Car?, Chicago; Mrs. Alfred Luedtke and ?, Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. William ? Jr., and family, Stratford; and Mrs. Lester Willhite, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Scheelk, Martin Edgar, Mr. and Mrs. William Ulrich and daughter, of ?, Miss Elizabeth Drexler, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Randt and ?, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Radt?, and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gilman ? and family. Mr. and Mrs. Lor? ? and family, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Petri and family, all of ?, and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Busse and family, Abbotsford, Wis.
