Anason, Lynette Marie (12 July 1968 - 6 November 2013) With Flag

Lynette Marie Anason, 45, of Neillsville passed away surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at her home following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Lynette Marie Kurasz was born July 12, 1968, in Neillsville, the daughter of Lee and Joan (Halle) Kurasz. She attended St. John’s Lutheran School and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1986. Lynette then enlisted into the Army National Guard and served for 10 years. During this time, she also attended Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire and earned an associate’s degree in accounting. She was united in marriage to Gary Michael Anason July 18, 1987, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Lynette worked for three years at the Neillsville Foundry as a core maker and then she began her career at Leeson Motors, now known as Regal Motor Company. She worked at Regal Motor Company factories in Neillsville and most recently, Black River Falls. Her illness forced her to retire earlier this year.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; two sons, Joshua and Zachary; her parents, Lee and Joan Kurasz; a brother, Craig Kurasz of Neillsville; a sister, Brenda Kurasz (Donald Oldham) of Granton; her father-in-law, Oliver (Elizabeth) Anason of Janesville; her mother-in-law, Michael Ann Thompson of Plover; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Kurasz of Neillsville; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John; her maternal grandparents, Arnold and Elsie Halle; and her paternal grandparents, William and Eva Kurasz.

Funeral services for Lynette were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Pastor Timothy Biebert officiated. Music was provided by Sharon Nemitz, organist. Interment will be at a later date. Visitation was held Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 711 West 5th St.

Casket bearers were Randy Anason, Sean Brennan, Gary Erickson, Eric Larson, Jim Lauer and Donald Oldham.
