Andrews, McKenzie (16 Mar. 1866 - 8 Feb. 1944)

Colby: McKenzie Andrews, 76, the first cashier of the Colby State Bank and president of the bank at the time of his death, was found dead in bed Tuesday morning by his wife, who had gone to call him. Death resulted from a heart attack.

Before coming to Colby in 1901, Mr. Andrews was employed at the bank at Medford for two years, and prior to that was a log driver and woodsman at Greenwood.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the Cemetery association.

Surviving besides his wife, the former Bertha Hoppe, whom he married at Medford, are two daughters, Mrs. E. J. Ellingson, Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. Floyd Ouimette, Mobile, Ala., and four grand children.

The body is lying in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home until Saturday afternoon when funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 o’clock.
