Mueller, Ethel (1924? - Feb. 1944)

Pfc. Alfred Mueller returned to California, Wednesday. He had accompanied the body of his wife here for internment in the town of Wien, last week, Monday.

Ethel Schauss, 20, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schauss, of near Curtiss, had gone to Washington not quite three months ago to marry Pfc. Mueller. When he was transferred to California, she accompanied him.

Mrs. Mueller, apparently had left a stove burning natural gas and went to sleep. Carbon monoxide poisoning had caused her death.

Pfc. Mueller, Fenwood, was well known here as he drove a milk truck from that territory for Marathon-Clark Cooperative Dairy association before his entrance into the army.
