A. Schaetzka, Former Resident, Dies At Oxford

Word has been received of the death of A. Schaetzka, a former resident here. The funeral was held, at Oxford, April 2, and internment was made there.

Mr. and Mrs. Schaetzka live here for many years and last fall sold their farm on the southwest edge of the village and went to Oxford to live with his son, Louis. It was reported that Mr. Schaetzka had been ill during the winter with the flu but that a stroke caused his death. He was about 82 years old.

A grandson, Cpl. William Schaetzka, on furlough from California, told of his grandfather’s death on a recent visit here.
