Mitte, Lynette R. (Marriage - 22 May 1971)

Miss Lynette R. Mitte became the bride of Larry L. Engevold on Saturday, May 22, at 2 p.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe. The Rev. Robert Bitter performed the ceremony uniting the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mitte of Rt. 3 Neillsville and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Engevold of Loyal.

Given in marriage by her brother, Michael Mitte, the bride wore a white floor-length, A-line gown, lightly laced, and a floor-length mantilla veil trimmed in lace.

Miss Dawn Neusen of La Crosse was the maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Cathy Schofield and Miss Lois Hagedorn, both of Neillsville, and Mrs. Donna Pou Pore of Milwaukee. The floor-length peasant-style gowns of the bridal attendants were fashioned of flower-printed material, two in blue and two in pink. All carried bouquets of white carnations. Leslie Adams was the flowergirl.

Bestman was James Engevold of Loyal. Groomsmen were David Thomas and Ronald Oldham, both of Neillsville, and Dennis Engevold of Spencer. Michael Mitte and Jeffery Engevold served as ushers.

Congregational singing was accompanied by organist Mrs. Karen Hoppa.

A reception was held at the home of the bride and a wedding dinner served at the church.

The ride is a 1970 graduate of Neillsville High School. Her husband graduated from Loyal High School in 1965. Both are employed in Neillsville.

After a wedding trip to the western states the couple will live at Rt. 3 Neillsville.
