Hintz, Hattie (28 Aug. 1887 - 3 Aug. 1944)

Funeral services for Mrs. Gust Hintz, 56, who died this morning at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, have not been completed. The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral home, Colby, and the funeral services will be held at the Lutheran church at Abbotsford, possibly Saturday.

Mrs. Hintz had been ill with a throat infection at her home for four weeks and then was taken to St. Joseph’s hospital last week, where she was a patient for a week and two days.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gust Hintz, who died Thursday morning, were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Lulloff Funeral home at Colby and at 2:00 o’clock at Christ Evangelical Lutheran church, here, with the Rev. J. Brandt officiating. Internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

The pallbearers were Henry Jacobi, Fred Meske, James Vrana, Nic Wibben, Helmuth Wirth and Lawrence Wehrmann.

The flowers were in charge of Mrs. H. J. Amacher and Mrs. Chet Knight.

Hattie Prange was born Aug. 28, 1887 in the town of Holton. She was educated in the town of Holton school and married in the town of Holton church on June 11, 1908, to Gust Hintz.

They made their home on a farm three miles east and about one-third of a mile north of Abbotsford, Wis.

Her last illness began with a throat infection, almost six weeks ago. She was taken to St. Joseph’s hospital, at Marshfield, where she died at 8:00 o’clock Thursday morning, Aug. 2.

She is survived by her husband, four sisters; Mrs. Bertha Fink, Waukesha; Mrs. William (Ida) Hintz, Abbotsford, Route 1; Mrs. Charles (Eva) Baumgart, Minocqua; Mrs. Chris (Minnie) Daellenbach, Siren; and three brothers, Chris Prange, Whittelsey; Reinhold Prange, Ogilve; Minn., and Herman Prange, Anamoose, N. Dak.

Sisters and brothers from away who attended the funeral were Mrs. Daellenbach, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baumgart, Chris and Reinhold Prange; and a niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lahey, Darlington.
