Weideman, Hazel (1st Birthday - 16 July 1944)

Joanne and Hazel are two brown eyed sisters, who are great pals. They are the only two children of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weideman, of Abbotsford, Route 1.

Joanne celebrated her seventh birthday on Oct. 14 and is now in the second grade at the Abbotsford school. When she isn’t playing with her baby sister at home she is busy drawing and coloring. She is very fond of music and gets a big thrill out of riding horseback.

Hazel, a brunette, is a contrast to her blonde sister. She was a year old July 16 and finds her days very busy with just talking and walking and getting acquainted with things in her little world.

The girls have both grand parents living very near to them: Mr. and Mrs. James Melvin, east of Abbotsford; and Mr. and Mrs. August Weideman in the village. There are uncles and aunts whom they see frequently and an uncle, Staff Sgt. William Melvin, far away in France.
