Winter, Grace (Marriage - 22 November 1951)

Miss Grace Winter, daughter of Mrs. Jennie Winter of Neillsville, became the bride of Edward Schoen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. Schoen, on November 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Officiating at the two o’clock nuptial mass was the Rev. Father Peter Zic.

The bride was attired in a gown of ivory slipper satin. It was fashioned with a lace trimmed peplum. Her finger tip veil fell from a beaded tiara and she carried a bridal bouquet of yellow roses and white baby mums.

Her matron of honor was Mrs. Eleanor Neville and her bridesmaids were Mrs. Lila Schoen and Mrs. Velva Cernik. The groom was attended by John Schoen, Franklin Schoen and Jerry Cernik.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents for approximately 50 guests. The house was decorated in yellow, blue, green and white streamers.

After a honeymoon trip in southern Wisconsin the young couple will be at home on the groom’s farm.

The bride was graduated from the local high school with the class of ’49 and the groom also attended the local high school.

Guests present at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Roland Lisko of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Guttman of Minocqua, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Koran and family of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Cernik or Wisconsin Rapids and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marty of Granton.
