Ruesch, Marian (Marriage - 14 Feb. 1945)

Miss Marian Ruesch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ruesch, of Medford, and Sgt. Arvin Merwin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Merwin, of Abbotsford, exchanged marriage vows in a double ring ceremony in the Community Evangelical parsonage at Medford, Wednesday, Feb. 14. The Rev. G. E. Pauloweit read the services at half past two in the afternoon.

The only attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Merwin, brother and sister of the bridal couple.

For her wedding the bride wore an aqua colored gabardine suit with black accessories, and a shoulder corsage of pink roses. Her sister wore a similar suit in chartreuse with black accessories, and wore a shoulder corsage of pink roses.

A wedding supper for the immediate families was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a reception was held for friends later in the evening. The red and white color scheme of St. Valentine’s day was used in the home decorations for the occasion.

Sgt. and Mrs. Merwin are at Medford until Feb. 19 when he returns to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he is an airplane mechanic. Mrs. Merwin who is employed at the Hurd Millworks corporation at Medford, will continue her work.
