Gasch, George (1 Feb. 1861 - 27 Feb. 1945)

George Gasch, formerly of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died at his home at Conneaut, Ohio, on Feb. 27, at 4 a.m. following a stroke after being an invalid for nearly three years.

Born Feb. 1, 1861, in Ishpeminz, Mich., he came to Calumet county, Wis. in 1866. Here he resided until 1917, when he moved to Abbotsford in the Town of Hull. He later moved to Conneaut, Ohio, in 1940.

Besides the wife, the former Anna May Eastman, he is survived by six children. They are Mrs. Clarence Boothby, Mrs. Frank Helmbrecht, East Springfield, Pa.; Mrs. Wallace Ward, Gordon Gasch, Conneaut, Ohio; Rolland Gasch and Walter Gasch, Abbotsford, Wis. One son preceded him in death. There are 11 grand children.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Marcey Funeal home, with the Rev. W. Powell, pastor of First Baptist church, officiating. Burial was made in East Conneaut cemetery. His two sons, Roland and Walter, of Abbotsford, attended the funeral.
