Miss Shirley Lindau, 9 years old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lindau, Curtiss, was stricken with infantile paralysis last week. She was taken to Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, for treatment and from there, on Saturday, was taken to Madison.
Shirley is a third grade pupil at the Midway school, town of Hoard.
This is the first case of polio reported in this immediate vicinity.
