Carpenter, Marie (Marriage - 22 Nov. 1945)

Miss Marie Carpenter, daughter of Mrs. Cathryn Carpenter and Myron Kramer, son of Mrs. Edith Kramer, were united in marriage on Thanksgiving morning before a nuptial high mass at 9:00 o’clock in St. Bernard’s Catholic church. The Rev. Francis J. Brockman read the double ring marriage service before the high altar, decorated with vases of mixed chrysanthemums. The choir, of which the bride is a member, sang the Guardian Angel high mass with "Ave Maria" sung at the offertory by Mrs. C. T. Dolan.

The bride wore a beige colored suit with brown and pink accessories. She wore a shoulder corsage of American Beauty roses and carried a crystal rosary.

Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hopperdietzel, Athens, brother-in-law and sister of the bride. Mrs. Hopperdietzel wore a suit of royal blue with matching hat. She also wore a shoulder corsage.

A wedding breakfast was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Brunkhorst, a brother-in-law and sister of the bride. Dinner was served at the Casa Grande for 38 relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Kramer are spending this week at Sackett’s lake and will be at home to friends after Dec. 2, in Abbotsford, Wis.

The bride and groom, both graduates of the Abbotsford high school, class of 1938, are at present employed at Colby, Wis. Mrs. Kramer teaches in the grade school and Mr. Kramer, who has just received an honorable discharge from the service, is employed in the offices of the Northwest Distributing company.

Out of town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Vandehey, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. William Young, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Le Claire, Rhinelander; Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Lord and daughter, Patricia, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Babbitt, Cornell; and George Le Claire, Owen.
