Dolan, Ruth (Marriage - 22 Nov. 1945)

Marriage vows were exchanged on Thanksgiving day between Miss Ruth Dolan, daughter of Peter Dolan, and Darrel Bobbe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bobbe, at 4:00 o’clock in St. Bernard’s rectory. The Rev. Francis J. Brockman officiated at the ceremony.

For the occasion the bride wore a black velvet frock trimmed with ermine and a matching beret.

Her only attendant was Miss Vangel Bobbe, Wausau, sister of the groom, who wore a black and fuchsia ensemble. Both wore gardenia corsages.

Attending the groom as best man was Jack Nickolay, of Madison.

Following the ceremony a 6:00 o’clock dinner was served at Medford.

Both young people are graduates of the Abbotsford high school. Mr. Bobbe has just received an honorable discharge from the army after five years in service. Mrs. Bobbe, who is a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing, Wausau, is employed in the clinical laboratory at the Clark County Hospital at Owen.

Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dolan, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Urquardt, Bruce; Mr. and Mrs. Wendell La Belle, Arpin; and Miss Jean Clark, Wausau.
