Sears, Fred (1859? - 16 November 1951)

Fred Sears, age 92, died at his home in Mazomanie, Wis., on Friday, Nov. 16. Funeral services were conducted for him there on Monday afternoon.

Mr. Sears settled on a piece of unbroken land in the Town of Levis when he was a young man. He cleared the land and erected a fine set of buildings. He and Mrs. Sears spent their active years on the farm and when they were no longer able to carry on they moved to Mazomanie to be near to their son, Verlan. He was in active church work.

He is survived by his wife and four children, Thomas of Boulder Dam; Col. Verlan of Mazomanie; Roscoe at Neillsville; and Lois, who is nurse in a tuberculosis sanitarium in North Carolina. Four grandchildren also survive.
